Hey All
Myself and another Wikipedian from WPMEDF have been invited to speak in
Quebec at the Cochrane collaboration in Sept.

It is likely that a few part time WiRs will result from these efforts with
the organization being very interested in working with medical Wikipedians.

Amqui, were you aware of [[m:User:Slowking4/Mobile audio upload app grant]]?
The project is to find funding to build an app which allows field
recording of spoken word related to a Wikipedia article, and automated
uploading to Commons and linking on the relevant Wikipedia article.
Amgine
I am not aware of any active Wikipedia's within Wikimedia Canada. I do know
of a number of active American Wikipedians who are female.

Hi,
Are there any Wikipedians that fill all of the below requirements?
- female
- active
- Canadian
A documentarian is wanting to include a Wikipedian or two, but all the
other .orgs are providing male reps, they're wanting us to balance
things out. They're presuming to settle for an active American female,
but if we can offer CanCon, that would be awesome.
I found one Wikipedian in Mississauga, who's only somewhat active,
otherwise all of the people who expressed interest in Wikimedia Canada
when the idea was first pitched in 2007 are all either dead, inactive,
or outright don't have accounts on any Wikimedia projects, at least
under the usernames that they signed up under.
Thanks,
Nick
John if you put together a proposal of a position to send in we can
vote on it at our meeting end of Janurary in Vancouver. You are
invited to the meeting if you are in the area.
