Thanks Carolynne for keeping us posted. Just a few days ago GP officially launched the WP Zero program and GP is trying to publicize it in the media, that seems well. But Banglalink has not made such efforts (as far as I know). Whenever I ask people randomly about this issue, still a lot don't know. A few talked about it reminding the GP's ad. It's good to know that you're working with GP to make the full Wikipedia site available under this program. Hope it will be made available soon.

Hi everyone, Grameenphone explained that they have some regulatory requirement to set a timeline in the announcement, but they do intend to extend the free access beyond three months. We are working with them to expand it to m.wikipedia.org, all Wikimedia sites, and any browser, too. I'll keep you posted.
We did get very good early results on the GP launch. They put Wikipedia on the Opera Mini speed dial, and we're getting good page views. I'll share a report when I get official numbers.
One other note while we're on the subject: if you have a GP phone with Opera Mini, you'll see we tried a variation on the Wikipedia logo that has "Zero" to set user expectations that it's not the full Wikipedia site. We're debating that here. It's an interim thing, as we're working on better solutions to have the full Wikipedia site available anyway. Just in case anyone has a question or any thoughts on that -- let me know!
I hope the press coverage from Banglalink to the press event/meet up and Grameenphone launch are helpful in raising awareness of Wikipedia and interest in Wikimedia Bangladesh, to help you recruit more volunteers. Munir and team have done an awesome job on PR.
Thanks so much
Carolynne
P.S. Shabab I didn't get the screenshots, can you please send to me at cschloeder@wikimedia.org? Thanks!

Seems, unlike Banglalink, Grameenphone offers free access to the 'zero' version only, not the 'mobile' version. I am attaching some screenshots.
