Welcome to the list, Tanvir Rahman and Vantharith Oum, and thank you for your report. As someone somewhere said, the existing chapters are also struggling w/ lack of resources, including manpower, and exhausted. We, no chapter though, at Wikimedians in Kansai are too.
Do not however let us lose hope: Let me cite an Asian classic - precisely, a Chinese one - "a travel of thousand miles begins from very a spot where your feet put on" (千里之行,**始于足下). Our movement is rather still new, Asian chapters and yet-no-chapters are too, so be of cheers and do our current task, lookking forward seeing what we'll have in the next decade.
Cheers,

Dear Wikimedia Asia Project Members,
Thanks, Deryck Chan for the welcome!
Greeting from Seoul, South Korea! This is Vantharith from Khmer Wikimedia Team. I was introduced by our fellow Wikipedian friend, Anirudh Bhatihttp://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Sir_Nicholas_de_Mimsy-Porpingtonfrom India. And I'm glad to be here and look forward to work together sometime in the future.
Let me give a short intro to our Khmer language projects. We currently have 3 running projects:
- Khmer Wikipedia
- Khmer Wiktionary
- Khmer Wikibooks
Among the 3, Khmer Wikipedia is the biggest, while other 2 are almost inactive due to low contribution and user-base. Our Team, we don't have physical organization and structure - we are just a online community of like-minded volunteers who believe in the power of sharing free knowledge, esp. in our own native language.
We are making some noise online and we are still in the process of building offline network on the ground. We have hold few WikiMeetups in our capital Phnom Penh. But lately, our activity is low due to lack of human resource on the group. One of our lead team member moved to other city and while few others are too busy with their work.... so...
Anyway, now the ground in Phnom Penh, we have our Indian friend, Anirudh who is lending his hands in helping out with the outreach. In case any Wikipedians happen to visit Cambodia, esp. the capital, please let us know. So we can arrange a meetup and let you guys talk about anything relevant to Wikimedia, to inspire our youth here.
All for now and looking forward to working with everyone. And in case, I happen to travel any of Asia Project team country - will for sure let you know, so we can meet and talk!!!
Thank you and kind regards,

Hello,
I was not in the list, but now I have subscribed (thanks to Ragib bhai for the poke) and it is awaiting for moderators approval at the moment. According to the ChapCom Wikimedia Bangladesh is an existing chapter [1], but not yet established (board approval I mean). Hope we will get that real soon. :D
Feel free to ping me to know anything about it, or anything other you are interested. :)
Regards, Tanvir Rahman Wikitanvir on Wikimedia
