is there someone who will be looking at/organising bulk flight
discounts with carriers who service many countries in this region?
we should try to estimate numbers of attendees from each country.

Hello,
Please do let us know the developments in your chapter preparations. Your
brother and sister Asian chapters are willing to help!
I hear that the Thai Chapter will be setting up soon, I like to personally
visit Thailand and meet the community there. To our Thai Wikimedians, do
let us know about your chapter development.

A nice idea indeed. I must mention that two of the Asian chapters (WMID being first and WMBD the second) have the largest number of followers that even Wikimedia page does not. So we can probably poke the individual chapter pages time to time to let them know and of course for a regional outreach.

Hi guys,
I would like to invite all Wikimedia Asia mailing list members to please join our new Facebook group. :)
https://www.facebook.com/groups/wikimedia.asia/
The group will not replace the mailing list, but we hope we'll get more traffic there since I bet most of us use Facebook more than check e-mails. :P
Regards,
Josh

Hello!
Glad to read from the previous thread that lots of us are attending
Wikimania 2012. Should we say, let's have a Wikimedia Asia lunch on 14 July?
Deryck
Hi,
Good to know that many of us are going to meet in DC. I am eager to meet
all friends from Asian Wiki Chapters.

Hi guys,
While I'm not attending Wikimania this year, will it be possible for the Asian Wikipedians (and, by extension, Wikimedia Asia) to meet during Wikimania this year in Washington, D.C.? It would be nice if we can huddle around, share ideas, and also bring home important lessons from the conference.
Regards from the Wikipedia Academy in Berlin,
Josh
