I think EI should not guess the namespace, because you can transclude from any namespace. Categories are different, since it is only used with NS 14.

Does "categorymembers" work different from the others? "categorymembers" doesn't seem to be the same - http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?format=xmlfm&action=query&list=cat... http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?format=xmlfm&action=query&list=categorymembers&cmlimit=20&cmcategory=Category:Compositions_by_Alexander_Glazunov returns nothing, while http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?format=xmlfm&action=query&list=cat... http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?format=xmlfm&action=query&list=categorymembers&cmlimit=20&cmcategory=Compositions_by_Alexander_Glazunov returns the list of articles.

I think embeddedin should handle this the same as categorymembers: what happens if you have Template:Example and Template:Template:Example and someone specifies &eititle=Template:Example ? The fact that the namespace prefix is implied and must not be specified should be documented of course.
