I think it's because both ways count different things. timeFrameEdits counts all edits, but totalEdits counts only edits that are not deleted. This is because the UserDailyContribs extension counts the edit when it is made and doesn't “uncount” it when it is deleted.

ErfoedBot has according to this made 6 edits totally on sv.wikipedia, but 140 last 180 days. All these 6 edits are made on one single user-page.
Also strange is Perfect:

According to this he has made 593 edits totally, and 4584 edits the last 180 days. The typical behavior of Perfect is that he is doing a lot of edits in ns-project and ns-user.
Have I missunderstod something about this api?
