I need some help - I've implemented the API using CodeIgniter for a
clients site and everything works on the site except for the wiki pages,
which are sluggish.
Here is my controller which lists the function calls being made and in
what order:
http://pastebin.com/m4021c1a7
And here is my model where the actual API calls are made:
http://pastebin.com/dd7c504c
The api.php file exists on the same server that is making the calls, so
it should be instant but the pages are so very slow, and only in the
instance of using the MW API.
Any help or insight anybody could give would be MUCH appreciated.

Hello
In the next months I'll be doing my dissertation based on Wikipedia. So I
would like to know if someone could help me with a doubt that I have: Is it
possible to get the timestamp from de comments in the talk pages with
Wikipedia API?
Thank you, in advance.

I am working am trying to add geocoded Wiki data to a google map.
When I used a PHP class (class_WikiRetriever.php) to do this - all I get is the full page dumped. ie everything on the wikipage is parsed.
1. What methods are used to extract specific elements of an article. Say the intro.?
2. How can only articles which have already been geotagged be selected?
Many thanks
Magnus
I am working on translating one phrase in particular language to another
(For eg English to Hindi). This translation works file as while outputting
the results i am using UTF-8. But when i enter the query to be converted
back to English from Hindi the search is not performed as sql queries are
not able to search it in the database as character coding changes.How can I
work towards seemless operabilityfrom one type of language to another.

What is the use of
blcontinue - When more results are available, use this to continue.
I have not be able to get how to use this feature and what values it can
take as documentation does not mention about it.
Also what does this part of the result signify
<query-continue>
<backlinks blcontinue="0|Delhi|460979" />
</query-continue>
when i ran the following query
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=backlinks&bltitle=Delhi…
