I would like to share a proposal I have made for 1 African and 2 Asian elected seats on the Wikimedia Foundation board, among other things:

This proposal is of course not meant to limit participation by African and Asian candidates in the other elective seats, or to fill appointed seats as well.
It also includes a provision for the appointment of runners-up in the case that there is a gender or other imbalance, and incorporates a previous staggering proposal by SJ.
