There are no tours intended for
MW.org contributors yet, but any
MW.org
admin can write them. The relevant tutorial is
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Guided_tours/Write_an_on-wiki_tour . You
may have some guidance on that, and I'm glad to help clarify.
True. Hum, now I'm tempted of following the steps of
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Yuvipanda/whatcanidoforwikipedia.org
with a Guided Tour... :)
GettingStarted may not quite be doable yet. In its
current form, it
expects new users to start working on simple tasks (e.g. fixing spelling
and adding links). I'm not sure that paradigm applies to
MW.org, but
maybe it does.
We can wait to the extension to be more configurable. I like the idea of
first steps anyway, and there is enough to do in the wiki alone. We
could group pages in certain categories we could come up with.
Some improvised examples:
"Watch..."
"Learn..."
"Review..."
For instance, I have started playing with Category:New_contributors
