Does anybody have a log of this? I was tasked with keeping a log but it failed.
Many, many apologies,

Yes, I don't see any point in having the meeting anywhere other than
London for now - further meetings could be planned for other locations
(or for further more local initiatives, as mentioned at the last
meeting). I'll come down for the meeting anyway and possibly we'll
have greater interest/commitment this time since we will have more
time to give people notice. (Copying to the wikimedia-uk list.)

I wrote this up (in very basic form) at

- please add as you see fit

As is Cardiff. Pretty please?
Sam Korn
I checked on the use of "UK". For example in:-
1) Wikimedia UK Ltd
2) Wikimedia UK Limited
This should not be a problem.

Great Britain or United Kingdom - if you wish to use these
expressions as a prefix, or to use 'of Great Britain' or 'of the
United Kingdom' as a suffix, then the criteria are the same as for
'British'. If the words are used as a suffix to the name, they are
normally allowed without difficulty. Using the initials 'GB' or 'UK'
in your company name does not require approval.

So, as we said at the meet up a fortnight ago (eek), we're going to have
a meeting dedicated to progressing with Wikimedia UK sometime soon,
somewhere quiet that we could work. Barring a pub etc. on grounds of
noise, we could meet up in, erm... My house? A private function room?
Somewhere else of which someone knows? As to a day, I think a
fortnight's time would be a good idea (lest time gets away from us), so
Sunday the 9th of October.
Thoughts?
Yours,

(sorry for double-posting Gordon)
Equally, I don't want to stop you having a face to face meeting (often
more productive) - which I might myself get down to (just travel is a
bit of an expense). If you want you could set a cut off number to
justify a meeting - or just go ahead with it, and others (like me) can
decide last minute whether to go or not.

I've notified everyone who has listed themselves on [[m:Wikimedia_UK]]
(on the user page they use most) - we've got one more (Francs2000),
but it's still a low number, also given that I'm still wondering if
it's worth coming down (though I probably will). Why don't we have a
meeting on IRC, though? - that way we could have people like Angela
and Delphine give input as well..

I'm interested in attending but, since I didn't know where to suggest,
I stayed quiet. I'd still like to know there is a reasonable interest
before trekking down to London. Is everyone else similarly sitting on
the fence, are they uninterested, or are they simply unaware of the
proposed meeting?
