You remind me that I have a dump of the Khan Academy videos before the licenses were changed from SA to NC. I need to get that bulk uploaded as well.

That means one will have to download all the videos, and upload them back to Wiki Commons. Isn't there anyway one can upload to Wikimedia commons with such fast means without having to get it touch a local pc before being uploaded?
Lets resort to other mailing lists for help
Thanks for the info though.

Awesome Sam! How will you do it? Personally, I'd bulk them to Archive.org and then take done the oggs that Archive makes if them and place them in Commons as needed. Which reminds me, why arent Commons and Archive closer? On 17/05/2013 6:06 AM, "Samuel Klein" meta.sj@gmail.com wrote:

Yes, I agree that's the way. I've already uploaded thousands of videos to archive.org from YouTube using https://code.google.com/p/emijrp/source/browse/trunk/scrapers/youtube2internetarchive.py, I only need a list of the video URLs. For files on my HDD I use https://wiki.archive.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IAS3BulkUploader
