Hey, I'm all for Wiki-Conferences in NYC, San Francisco, Boston, and Chattanooga!
If anyone wants planning assistance with an event of this kind anywhere in the country, I'd be glad to help and to share the NYC experience.
Thanks, Richard (User:Pharos)

The Wikiconference in New York was lovely -- thanks to Pharos and the WM-NYC team for pulling it off for a second year. The tone was so friendly and productive that I expect we could expand the scope of such events to include more non-wikipedians, readers and professors and others.
Is there any interest in making something like this happen as part of Recent Changes Camp next spring? (It will be held in Boston; we are finalizing the venue now).
