Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to announce that Wikimedia DC will be holding an election of our Board of Directors over the course of the next five weeks.
Full details regarding the election, including instructions for candidates and voters, are available on our website at http://wikimediadc.org/wiki/Internal:Board_election_(February_2013). A summary of some key points:
(1) Candidates and voters must be members of Wikimedia DC to participate in the election. If you haven't renewed your membership from last year, you will need to do so by February 15.
(2) Candidates must submit their nomination package, including certifications of eligibility, mandatory disclosures, and candidate statements, to the Election Committee by February 15.
(3) Ballots will be distributed on February 16. Voters who wish to request electronic ballots must do so by February 15; the same deadline applies to voters who will be receiving paper ballots and wish to update their mailing address.
(4) All completed ballots -- whether paper or electronic -- must be received by March 8 in order to be counted.
