Hello everyone!
I'm very pleased to announce that the second Wikimedia Diversity Conference
will take place on June 17–18 at the National Archives in Washington, DC.
The conference is co-hosted by Wikimedia DC and the National Archives and
Records Administration, which reflects the two organizations' shared
commitment to embracing diversity in the global knowledge movement.
The Wikimedia Diversity Conference is an international event designed to
facilitate conversation and action on issues of diversity throughout the
Wikimedia movement. The conference is open to everyone in the Wikimedia
community and the broader global knowledge and free culture movements. We
welcome everyone wishing to engage in a meaningful conversation about
diversity in the Wikimedia movement, and will bring people from different
language communities, genders, and backgrounds together to collaborate.
To learn more about the conference, to register, or to submit a session
proposal, please visit https://wikidiversity.org/.
Please feel free to pass this announcement along to any other forum or
community that you think might be interested! If you have any questions
about the conference, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Regards,
Kirill

Hi folks,
Please participate in this Doodle poll
<http://doodle.com/poll/2nd38gbhp6n4m672> to indicate your availability for
the May meeting of US Wikimedians. (Canadians are welcome to join if they
wish!)
An early version of the agenda is here
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WALRUS/May_2016>. Some of these items will
be discussed in greater detail than others. You can add items to the
agenda, and if you do this then please sign your name by the added item.
The Zoom <http://www.zoom.us> meeting platform got a favorable reception
when we tried it last month, so we'll use it again. We'll aim to keep the
meeting to 40 minutes in length.
Thanks!
