Ack! Sorry; Eric -- it's been a bananas few weeks and I just realized I
hadn't responded to your message. I apologize.
In response to your questions:
- I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like you can still upload photos to
the campaign. It is, at least, worth a shot, although I'd start with just
one as a test.
- I'd be happy to talk to HGAPS about how we ran this campaign.
How are your edit-a-thon plans shaping up?
Also, would love to hear more about the CBT article grant. I know our
meeting times generally overlap, but let's talk about a way around that so
you can come to an upcoming meeting with requests for how we can help.

This is fantastic! Kudos, all, for organizing and
implementing so well!
I have several followup questions:
- Can people still use the links already set up to add things after
the official end of the campaign? (I might know some bald guy who has a lot
of pictures of NC to share, but didn’t have time yet…. 😊)
- Would one of you be willing to teach a couple HGAPS members how to
copy this model and run similar campaigns?
Kinda related questions:
- We are going to host an edit-a-thon in July; you will be invited!
It’s an opportunity to coach us on how to invite “on Wiki” better!
- We are starting to work on a General Support Fund application
(aiming for Aug 21 submission for Sept cycle) with coaching from
Jethro/Chris at WMF. One of the strategic partners that we would like to
engage is Wikimedia-NC!
- One of the campaigns folded into the grant is working with a
professional society and an appointed task force to raise the CBT article
on Wikipedia to GA (or FA?) status again. We need some sympathetic
experienced editors to help us reach that goal. Budget would include travel
support for people interested in attending a hybrid working meeting at the
ABCT conference, and also compensation for time working on the project.
- A related campaign would be to improve the quality of other
existing psychology pages
- Third campaign likely to be BLPs of women and under-represented
groups in Psychology – we have a lot of source material, but are lean on
experienced editors with familiarity with the relevant etiquette. A small
herd that is done with the Wiki Edu and Wiki Adventure trainings, but prone
to make mistakes with the BLP without coaching. We have a dashboard (like
WikiEdu) that we could use to link experienced editors and newer volunteers
into teams. ß this is the focus of the July edit-a-thon
Lumped all this together rather than putting in two emails.
All my best, and kudos again
Eric

impressive! If you've been meaning to upload a photo or two, now's the time
to do it!
We'll have our next meeting on *Thursday, July 14, at 7pm*. Zoom link to

Hello NC Wiki* friends!
We're just a week away from the end of the Wiki Pix campaign and it seems
to be going really well! There are 345 photos uploaded so far, which you
can see here
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Uploaded_via_Campaign:WikiPixNC>.
I'm loving the photos from the Chinese lantern festival in Cary and this albino
alligator from the Fort Fisher Aquarium

.
If you've been meaning to upload a photo but haven't yet, you've got until
next Wednesday, June 22.
Let's plan to discuss the campaign at our next meeting... which we still
need to schedule. I know folks may have summer travel plans. If you'd like
to attend our next meeting, *send me a quick note and let me know which
of the following Thursday evenings would be possible for you:*
- June 30
- July 7
- July 14
- July 21
I also wanted to make sure folks had seen the message copied below from
Ziski about joining a conversation hour with the Global Advocacy and Public
Policy team on July 1. Please feel free to attend if you're interested!

Hey former Triangle Wikipedians,
I'm Ziski from the Global Advocacy & Public Policy team. I wanted to
personally invite you to our first-ever monthly conversation hours. The
call is on July 1 at 16h EST. All information you need to participate is on
this Meta page [1].
The agenda is split between a dedicated theme for the month and whatever
items you wish to cover. This month we will share some of our work on
disinformation. There is no set agenda for the second half of the call -
feel free to add your item to the list of topics in the etherpad [2]. Come
and talk to us! Ask us anything, or tell us anything, related to public
policy and advocacy initiatives for free knowledge online. For example:
* You want to learn more about our team and our current initiatives
* You would like to share a policy development or advocacy campaign idea
and would like to get feedback or support
* You have questions about a specific WMF policy priority or development
Hope to see you there... or at the next one!
Ziski, on behalf of the Global Advocacy team
