Digital Capital Week is happening this year November 4-11. -- http://digitalcapitalweek.org/
This includes a big series of tech events, and free culture / information definitely fits in the scope. I think this is a great opportunity to help get the word out more and for us to connect with folks in DC.
Is there interest for us to organize any event(s) during Digital Capital Week? If so, what do you have in mind or would like to see happen?
This Fall, we'll be running the Library Lab at the MLK library ( http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/LibLabs -- volunteers still needed), and I expect we'll continue working with NARA and the Smithsonian in some capacity. We could certainly schedule one or more events centered on these ongoing initiatives, and/or something new.
Ideas? Thoughts?
Cheers, Katie
