Hi Wiki-Pilgrims,
I'm going to be joining this editathon on Saturday, along with a small NYC delegation, I heard one of the editathon topics was zombies!

Thanks, Richard (User:Pharos)
I hope there will be demos? tasters? of zombie ice cream. Plus, you can meet the whole Forsyth family :)
Pete - is there a venue yet? Are you looking for a place that serves food? We could probably do this in the (power-enabled) public spaces of Wasserstein Hall where the Ada Lovelace editathon was held; campuses are quiet this time of year.
My personal focus this week is Public Domain Week -- I'm compiling a list of works that just entered the public domain in Europe and most other countries; many by authors that don't (e.g.) have Works lists on their biographies which is making said compilation difficult :)

Hmm, maybe we can find some zombies and *make* some zombie i scream. I'll put my mom on the task!

Yes, we have a venue (in Somerville, near the Red Line) -- one that can unfortunately only accommodate 30 people. I made the (perhaps erroneous) recommendation not to publish the location ahead of time, to ensure we don't overflow. But at this point, I'm less worried about that!
I've asked permission to publish the place, just waiting on a response. I'll post back when authorized :) In the meantime, if you'd like to come, please sign up so I have an up-to-date idea how many to expect! (Also note any special dietary needs, we'll be providing lunch.)

Awesome! Don't forget to check Wikisource, I've found Author: articles often have good bibliographies when Wikipedia bios lack them.

In case anybody missed it on wiki:
The Wikipedia intro and edit-a-thon tomorrow morning will be at offices of EchoDitto, One Davis Square, Somerville. (Next to the Red Line station, upstairs from CVS.)
Directions: http://www.echoditto.com/directions
The intro for beginners will start promptly at 10am; free-for-all editing will start somewhat less promptly at 11am; and lunch, provided by the iPhone game Zombie I Scream, will start promptly whenever we need refueling!
Looking forward to seeing folks, -Pete
