place that serves food? We could probably do this in the (power-enabled) public spaces of
Wasserstein Hall where the Ada Lovelace editathon was held; campuses are quiet this time
of year.
Yes, we have a venue (in Somerville, near the Red Line) -- one that can unfortunately only
accommodate 30 people. I made the (perhaps erroneous) recommendation not to publish the
location ahead of time, to ensure we don't overflow. But at this point, I'm less
worried about that!
I've asked permission to publish the place, just waiting on a response. I'll post
back when authorized :) In the meantime, if you'd like to come, please sign up so I
have an up-to-date idea how many to expect! (Also note any special dietary needs,
we'll be providing lunch.)
My personal focus this week is Public Domain Week --
I'm compiling a list of works that just entered the public domain in Europe and most
other countries; many by authors that don't (e.g.) have Works lists on their
biographies which is making said compilation difficult :)
Awesome! Don't forget to check Wikisource, I've found Author: articles often have
good bibliographies when Wikipedia bios lack them.
