Hi Lodewijk,
I'm very excited to inform you that all the members of Wikimedia Bangladesh are very eager to stage WLM in Bangladesh. Probably we would make our formal announcement shortly. We will need support from your end in the course of arranging the event since this would be the first time to be arranged in Bangladesh.
Best Regards,
Ali Haidar Khan (Tonmoy)

Hi Tonmoy,
yeah, the suggested timeline already started. Please don't panic about that, it is the 'ideal' timeline - and we know that things can be cought up well. But yeah, don't take too long before deciding - with a bit of good spirit you can easily catch up.
Best, Lodewijk

Hi Lodewiik,
Many thanks for your mail. However, I was reading the documentation page & timeline on commons for some time. As per the timeline given, the process has already began from the beginning of February & local domain registration was to be done by February 19. Lot other preparations are also listed to be done within February.
Are we behind schedule to do all these preparations? And If so, is there any scope to get all preparations shortly?
Please tell us more about it.
Thanks

Hi Lodewiik,
Great. Thanks for the information.
I think we can do it and this will help us to promote wiki in the country. Recently we completed our first unconference and planning more programme for coming days.
I hope, we, from the chapter, would get back to you shortly after reviewing the details of the programme as well as assessing our strength in this regard.
Thanks
Munir

Hi all,
For those that do not know me: I'm Lodewijk from the Netherlands, and I'm (amongst other things) one of the people coordinating the Wiki Loves Monuments initiatives on an international level. I have been involved in the 2010 contest in the Netherlands and the 2011 in Europe.
Wiki Loves Monuments is a photo contest organized around cultural heritage (buildings and other similar physical objects such as bridges etc that are of cultural/historical relevance). It was organized last year in 18 countries in Europe, and this year we're seeing which countries outside Europe might be interested too. It was suggested to us that the Bangladesh community might be willing and able to join Wiki Loves Monuments this year. How would you feel about this?
You can find more information about what Wiki Loves Monuments is all about on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Document... and the suggested Timeline gives you perhaps an impression of the work that would be involved with this http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Timeline . You should however realize that Wiki Loves Monuments is organized federatively, and that the national contests have a large degree of independence. You would be organizing your own contest (with support and help from the international team, for example on technical side) and you should do, within a framework, do whatever works best in your country.
Would you perhaps be interested? If you have any questions, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Lodewijk
