Hello everyone,
I am Amrit Sufi, a Wikimedian and researcher. I am very glad to be a part

documentation and revitalization of Indian languages using Wikimedia
projects
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/MSIG/Amrit_Sufi/Needs_assessâĻ>'.
We are looking forward to including the views of Wikimedians on the topic.

*Introducing the Wikimedia Foundationâs 2023 Annual Plan*
<https://diff.wikimedia.org/2022/07/26/introducing-the-wikimedia-foundationsâĻ>
Each year, the Wikimedia Foundation shares an annual plan of its priorities
and activities for the fiscal year, which currently runs from *July 2022 to
June 2023*. The Foundationâs current Annual Plan is now anchored in the two
strategic pillars of our movement strategy: *âknowledge equityâ* and
â*knowledge
as a service*â and the *Annual Plan*
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_AnnâĻ>
is
centered around four main goals.
The process of identifying these goals also included a month of feedback
and âtwo-way planningâ with Foundation staff and volunteers. There were
over *12,000* pageviews of the draft plan on Meta-wiki (4x increase from
last year) with *30+* contributors engaging on the talk page. Over *750*
community members from all regions of the world (including South Asia) were
reached through conversations that included multilingual support in *15*
languages.
You can find an appendix of the feedback we received
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_AnnâĻ>
in the final plan. This document is a starting point for what will be a
highly iterative process of doing and learning in the months ahead. We
invite your reflections and questions at any time on Meta.
