Salut la liste !
I haven't seen this particular piece of news [1] mentioned on this list, so I decided to share.
In 2016 France introduced a new image right that allows entities managing buildings to control the commercial use of their images. [2]
Wikimédia France and La Quadrature du Net [3] believe that this law conflicts with the free use of public domain works and thus of images of castles, for instance. They have therefore filed a *Question prioritaire de constitutionnalité*. [4] This means that they are asking the highest constitutional authority in France about the constitutionality of these provisions. The goal is to get the law annulled.
Exciting times!
Cheers, Dimi
