Welcome, David - looking forward to a Catalan version of WIki Loves Libraries, especially around Open Access Week.

Hello everyone!
My name is David Parreño Mont and I'm a Catalan Wikipedian and the Communications Coordinator for Amical Wikipedia. I'm one of the Catalan Army members ;-)
This summer I'll do a kind of Wikipedia-in-Residence in the cultural institutions of my town, Palafrugell. Palafrugell is a village near the Costa Brava with a 23,000 inhabitants. It's known for its beaches.
I'll combine all the institutions (library, archive, Josep Pla Foundation, the 2 museus...) to do edit-a-thons, workshops, expand articles, release images to Wikimedia Commons, do a Wiki Takes... We also have the support of the city council.
In fact, firstly we did a Wikipedia workshop on June 16 in the library with 17 attendees (photos). On June 18 we also did a Edit-a-thon in public library of Figueres (where Dali was born) to expand the Abdó Terrades article, a former mayor (1812 - 1856) —was the bicentenary of his birth.
Moreover, Àlex Hinojo is doing a great job with all the libraries in Catalonia!
I'm looking forward to working with you all.
Kind regards,
David Parreño Mont
