The GLAM & Culture team at the Foundation is resuming its monthly office hours https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_GLAM_team/Office_Hours#Upcoming_office_hours for 2021. These meetings are intended as a forum for Wikimedians and GLAM professionals to share ideas, conversations, and creativity.
The January meeting will introduce the Foundation's latest round of project grants for community organizing https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project and we'll be joined by program officer Marti Johnson. These grants are for individuals, groups, or organizations to run projects that benefit the Wikimedia movement. The February meeting will focus on analytics. Wikimedia Switzerland and Wikimedia Israel will talk about their collaboration to localize and extend the Cassandra tool https://stats.wikimedia.swiss/. Trilce Navarrete and Elena Villaespesa will share their analysis of the consumption of museum images on Wikipedia, Digital Heritage Consumption: The Case of the Metropolitan Museum of Art https://edizionicafoscari.unive.it/riviste/magazen/2020/2/digital-heritage-consumption-art-or-information/.
