Maybe you know about it already, there is this concept alignment that Aubrey did some time ago https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlPNcNlN2oqvdFQyR2F5YmhrMWpXaUF...
I hope you can build upon it.

Is there any "standard" tool to build upon, for MARC to {{cite book}} etc. conversion? I know of https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MARCsman but it died with Toolserver; if there's nothing else, it's worth reviving.
Context: as part of the work at BEIC (https://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Wikipedia:GLAM/BEIC ) I want to figure out a quick and clean way to reference, on it.wiki articles, books in their digital library: I'll probably use {{cita libro}} or a wrapper for it. Metadata is in MARC, like http://131.175.183.1/webclient/MetadataManager?pid= 116634&descriptive_only=true
In addition we'll also upload hundreds books on Commons, see the discussion there: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Book# Ancient_book_with_institution The only tools I know for metadata conversion towards Commons are BUB and ia-upload (relying on Internet Archive).
