relevant and impactful for your work.

Created in partnership with the Library Juice Academy
<https://libraryjuiceacademy.com/>, this course introduces open licensing
concepts and practices for librarians at all levels and in any type of
library. Participants will learn about the history of Creative Commons, an
overview of the U.S. copyright system, including limitations and exceptions
such as fair use and the public domain, and foundational concepts in open
licensing, open access, and open education, including the six different
Creative Commons licenses and two public domain tools.
Participants will actively determine the focus for the final week of the
course, which is reserved for special topics and emerging trends as they
relate to CC licensing.Topics may include the rise of AI, open data
considerations, Open Access or OER advocacy, and others.
