Dear community members, On 24 May 2022, the Movement Strategy and Governance (MSG) team launched <https://forum.movement-strategy.org/t/movement-strategy-forum-community-rev…> a proposal for a new Movement Strategy Forum <https://forum.movement-strategy.org/> (MS Forum). The MS Forum is a multilingual collaborative space for all conversations about Movement Strategy implementation. It enables collaboration across communities, projects, and languages. Currently, 500+ volunteers are collaborating on the forum using its 100+ language capacity. We are inviting all community members to check out the MS Forum. You can login with your Wikimedia account. LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group: Next Wikidata Working Hour August 5th on Creating and Editing Contributor (author or illustrator) Items!

Hi everyone, Over the summer and into the early fall the LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_LD4_Wikidata_Affinity_Gr…> will be offering a series of Wikidata Working Hours<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_LD4_Wikidata_Affinity_Gr…> to give folks an opportunity to try out various Wikidata-related skills and tools by adding data about diverse children’s books<https://ccbc.education.wisc.edu/literature-resources/ccbc-diversity-statist…> from the Cooperative Children’s Book Center at the University of Wisconsin, Madison to Wikidata. Wikidata Working Hours provide hands-on Wikidata experience in a supportive space. We hope you will join us if you are interested in learning more about Wikidata, love children’s books, or have been looking for a fun Wikidata project to contribute to. The third Wikidata Working Hour in the series will cover manually creating and editing contributor (author or illustrator) items: showing how to create items, add statements to items, add references, and use gadgets. You do not need to have attended the previous Wikidata Working Hours in the series to attend this one. You don’t have to attend every session to benefit from the series, but attending whenever possible will offer the best experience in terms of applying skills and tools to a single data set.
