Dear all,
Just a quite note to say that I have been remiss in my duties as admin
for the Wikimedia & Libraries list, and let a *lot* of spam requests
pile up, which I have now just deleted.
If by chance you have tried to send a message to the list in the last
month or two and it didn't go through, it would have been caught in
the same filter and I probably didn't see it. My apologies, and please
resend.
And I will try to keep up better in future!
-- Phoebe
p.s. I know there are lots of exciting things going on in libraries
with Wikimedia projects! Let's talk about them! List members: what
have you been working on lately of interest?

Greeting GLAM-Wiki U.S., and Libraries Wikipedians!
I’m writing to invite Wikipedians to attend one of the Wikipedia
Art+Feminism Edit-a-thons
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism> happening
in the U.S./ internationally for the weekend of International Women’s Day,
of March 7th and 8th. We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and
initiative of events organizers, who have identified interest and are well
into planning upcoming Art+Feminism Edit-a-thons. While we are making every
effort
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism/Resources>
to ensure that organizers have appropriate Wikipedia training and materials
prior to hosting events, we welcome the support of Wikipedians to help
assist at the Art+Feminism events and our goal is to have at least one
experienced Wikipedian at each event, or otherwise ensure that events use
the online Google hangout
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism#Online> we
will have running throughout the weekend of March 7th and 8th for support.
Below is a list of 42 satellite events we are currently helping plan for in
the U.S. *More information is available about the campaign and the events
on the Art + Feminism project pages
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism> on
Wikipedia. *
If any of these events is in your region and you would like to help out on
the day-of as a Wikipedia helper (lead a training offer editing support,
etc.), or if you would like to offer other online assistance like on-wiki
documentation, assistance to organizers etc., please be in touch with me
through email [dorohoward(a)gmail.com] or on Wiki [User:OR drohowa].
