I was under the impression Fabrice took the discussion here to try to get wider input. Vibha's comments came as a slap in the face of that, and while I know it was not what she intended, her response post did not seem to indicate much understanding beyond the fact sometimes we all send things in a hurry and at times don't send quite what we meant.
That said, text is a difficult medium in which to communicate effectively, and piling on can at times be the only way to get a message across - and I suppose you have. Perhaps I should just avoid this list in the future.

Kim,
I have to agree with Steven that your comments here were unhelpful. I understand the general desire to reinforce the remote/in-person issue as well as the need to be in touch with volunteers, but Oliver already made this point, so at this point you're simply piling on. Moreover, the part of your comment Steven called out could indeed be read as aggressive and patronizing, even if it was not intended that way.
As Vibha requested, I suggest we close this thread and move on. Everyone understands the need to collaborate on-wiki/on-list where possible.
Enjoy your weekend, Erik
