Hi Floor, thanks for the suggestion! We already tried to order some swag in the past months. Sadly, from my experience, I ordered some t-shirts and half of them were out of stock in the desired sizes and it would be very expensive to get the rest of the order to Europe. We're now working on a much better solution with Kacie Harold from WMF - the Store will upload the T-shirt logos to Commons and anyone can print them :-). Of course that only works for the teams that have some funding (but I guess most Collab people do).

You may know about the store already, but what you may not know, is that you can ask the Education team to sponsor gifts for volunteers. The Wikimedia Foundation can pay for those gifts (as long as the request is reasonable, of course). You can ask for gifts to thank and motivate cherished volunteers who work hard to make the education program a success. You can also give out small prizes to students in your education program to encourage them and give the program a competitive element. Speaking of logistics, I'll be at the Wikimedia Conference in Berlin next month and at Wikimania in June. If you live in a place where shipping is expensive (or impossible) I might be able to bring some items/orders (space permitting). Keep that in mind as you think about Floor's original offer as well :) I do like the solution you're working on with Kacie so people can produce more things locally! Seems like a much more sustainable approach. Hi Vojtech, Thanks for those observations. It's true that overseas shipping costs can be rather expensive. I like your ideas and the creative solutions you are coming up with. Very nice. If anyone wants to take their chances on the Wikipedia store and the overseas shipping, we will support that and also take care of the shipping costs. And then longer term, we can think about better ways to do this. I know there is a physical storage in the US and I don't know if that's something that can be replicated (or is desirable to have, even) for Europe or other continents. Thanks for the update, Vojta. If you go ahead and make a request, it would be nice to hear how it goes and if you have any advice for people making their cases in the future. I know it's not the solution you were going for, and I'm curious to see what "case-by-case" means in reality. Also, I just want to reiterate the education team is happy to consider fulfilling any swag requests you may have in the short term for your programmatic work. And for people who live in places where shipping is extremely expensive or sometimes impossible, we could consider getting some items to you in Berlin (at the Wikimedia Conference) or in Esino Lario (at Wikimania).
