Oscar,
Thanks for showing your interest in the Wikipedia for Schools project. I recently asked
the team leaders to send me the reports so that I can compile a report of the whole
project, so expect a financial report & an ordinary report by next week, latest.
But briefly:
I've attached a doc that describes what the WfS project is all about. We successfully
implemented it in Mombasa, Nyeri & Kakamega and what we learnt is that we require a
more localized version of the offline wikipedia, as opposed to the one we were using that
was based on the British curriculum. I am currently liaising with the Foundation to create
us a custom-made version that will suit us.
So if we get the funds and the above-mentioned offline wikipedia, we'll be able to
resume with the project.
In what ways is your club willing to assist us?
