Greetings,
I have finally managed to get in touch with the advocate and managed to get a draft of the articles of association. My apologies for the delay. I have the following comments regarding the attached document:
it is a draft copy, so please have a look at it and feel free to share your thoughts. If there is something left out, kindly let me know. If you need the lawyer to clarify some articles, I will be happy to schedule a meeting with him so that he can clarify the articles as appropriate.I particularly need your input in:Quorum. I remember that the first time I had drated these bylaws, Oliver had raised an issue on quorum. What kind of quorum do you think is sufficient for meetings?Proxy. The lawyer has attached a proxy sample in the articles. Please do tell me if you find it necessary for us to leave it there. The duties of the project manager.
Looking forward to getting your feedback.
Cheers,Abbas.
ps - the next phase after us agreeing on this document is to resubmit it to the Chapters Committee for approval.
Hey Abbas,
As I've hinted on my previous post, this is not the right way of coducting an election.
Grace, this all seems rushed and forced and currently, Oscar's idea seems better.

A planning wiki for this would be awesome. If it's cool with everyone we can kick start this during tomorrow's WikiSaturday.
As for the other campuses, Strathmore and probably Nairobi uni should be available.

Alex.

Dear Kabissa community,
One of the greatest benefits of the Kabissa online platform is the ability
of members to showcase the good work their organizations are engaged in on a
daily basis. In order to allow members to tell the stories of their
organizations in the most vibrant way possible, Kabissa launched its first
ever photo competition earlier in June.
To date, we have received numerous photos from a wide range of organizations
across Africa, and we encourage those who have not had the opportunity to
submit, to do so before the deadline of *Monday, July 4*.
To submit your photo and a short description that describes how the photo
represents the mission of your organization, please go to:
http://www.kabissa.org/photocompetition <http://photocompetition>. Those
photos that are chosen as the most compelling will be featured on the
Kabissa frontpage and newsletters.
This is a wonderful chance for you, Kabissa’s members, to put your
organization front and center to the whole Kabissa community and use the
power of images to highlight the work you do.
The above photos are examples of the submissions we have received so far.
- Left-hand photo – (Courtesy Vickie Ward/Victor E. Ward Educational
Fund) – Young girls at the Ward Academy receiving a quality education by
learning computer technology.
- Right-hand photo – (Courtesy Marvis Zeo/HILLS Liberia) Women being

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your photos!
Sincerely,
Sami Ghazi

Hey Oscar,
Yah, your suggestion's part of the scope for this. Go ahead and place a link to the non-existing articles you have. After the scavenger hunt for pics, the second part of the competition will be writing creating the new articles: in Swahili and / or English.
You can find a link on our homepage to a brief of the whole thing.
Cheers,
Alex.
