many requests for it as I believe it isn't sustainable, it basically
means you maintain 2 copies of a page and also as a result you
increase the page load for mobile users by including desktop only
content in the HTML markup. I'm also keen in future to kill the
nomobile class but this is a long way off.
2 copies maintained is an option I considered but I had something else in
mind.
Hiding one way or another inline and maintaining only 1 copy. (Instead of
the top level hiding we have now, we could hide (or show) smaller elements
as needed.
