I'm the main opposition of a mobile only class. I've been opposing many requests for it as I believe it isn't sustainable, it basically means you maintain 2 copies of a page and also as a result you increase the page load for mobile users by including desktop only content in the HTML markup. I'm also keen in future to kill the nomobile class but this is a long way off. The real solution to this is to push https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Requests_for_comment/Allow_styling_in_templa… through to completion. I haven't had time to work on this but I really think it is one of the most important existing RFCs and sadly out of the realm of my expertise. Unfortunately, it's not just the jobs page; it's tons of pages on the WMF wiki :-/ Our solution for that wiki so far has been to add pages that aren't formatted for mobile to a hidden category that sends the user to the desktop site, which is marginally more useable. The issue lies in the markup (specifically, custom-made templates and tables that don't play well with MFE) being used to generate content on those pages. I know that folks in Communications and Legal were interested in hiring a developer/designer to make this and other important WMF content (really crucial stuff like Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, basically all the chapters stuff, fundraising, etc.) mobile-friendly, but I don't know what the status of that hiring process is.
