Hi ShiZhao,
你好! 有時間回答一些關於中國Wikipedia的問題嗎?
我已訪問了國際Wikipedians,還欠你們呢。這些資料會用作了解Wikipedia之用, 我亦計劃發表部份內容分享 :) Titan and
you are actually the first two zh.Wikipedians I am interviewing, since you
guys know so much about the community. I am not sure if I am going to
Boston Wikimania this time, but surely I would want to share the research
findings with the community.. And also would you kindly pass around other
zh.Wikipedian as well? Thanks much!
-Cathy

Subject: [GFW] AOL and GFW
To: greatfirewall(a)googlegroups.com
America Online has announced that it might provide its "portal"
service for free for broadband users, something folks have to a
monthly fee for right now.
While AOL is nothing to get excited about, it could have some
interesting implications - lots of Western users in the PRC have
benefitted from AOL's portal service as a proxy. I've had a number of
people in China say they have no problems accessing Blogspot or
Wikipedia because they are AOL users.
Something to keep an eye on if this AOL capability becomes more widely
available.

*Description:*
Google TechTalks April 28, 2006 Brion Vibber Brion Vibber has worked on
MediaWiki and Wikipedia's servers for four years, watching over its
frightening growth from thousands to millions of pages, from dozens to
thousands of hits per second. ABSTRACT Over four years, MediaWiki has
evolved from a quick hack to run a little-known encyclopedia web site to the
monster engine behind a heavily-used public site, while maintaining the
simplicity needed for an entry-level intranet wiki. Brion reviews past and
future directions for Wikipedia's software and hardware, and how modern
buzzword technologies could power and simplify the wiki world.
