hello all list subscribers,
this mail was in reply to a ticket we got in Operations to check why this list didn't work yet, when it was supposed to be reactivated.
i deleted a spam filter here in the list config that looked like it defaulted to discard everything
then i sent this message to test if it works. so, enjoy your list again

Another note:
Can someone please change the description of this list and remove the semicolon?
The description is used as the name in the From / Reply-To header and causes mail programs upon to reply to regard this as two different addresses (as the semicolon seperates multiple mail addresses) and obviously one part of this split text is not a valid mail address, resulting in a syntax error.

Hi Nemo,
tA sizable group of community members gathered at Wikimania to discuss video initiatives — and expressed an interest in reviving this list, independently from the multimedia list.
This makes sense to me, because video is such a complex challenge that will require extensive coordination across the movement. And this focused list can address the surge of interest about video we’ve seen in recent months.
On a related note, the multimedia team had to postpone work on video until we are further along with the equally-challenging structured data project -- which will be our focus for the next year or two. But we want to support community initiatives to develop video tools and practices until we have the resources to dive in ourselves.
Helping set up this list is one small way we can help.
