hey cormac,
ive never used irc before. im gonna download just so that i can participate.
Fantastic, Said!
There are a number of IRC platforms you can download - many of them free - your options for which will depend on what OS platform you use. Some info can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_Relay_Chat_clients and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat. If/when you get a client, you can generally find people (sometimes myself) in #wikiversity-en (though I'll try to remember to also join the #wikiversity channel whenever I'm online). Typing someone's name will usually get their attention - I'm sure you'll get the hang of it after a while.. :-)
See you then,
Cormac

Can you remind us early saturday? I got a bit of a bad memory.
I?m trying to get involved with wikiversity (as I've teaching math for years) but I've been jsut watching from the sidelines for a bit to understand it.
