Latest *tech news https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News* from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2018/42 are available.
*Problems*
- Some pages, edits and users disappeared for a short while after the server switch https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/Server_switch_2018. Missing content and users was fixed within a day. Some preferences and other things might take a few more days to fix. [1] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T206743 - Wikis are updated with new and updated translations from translatewiki.net https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/translatewiki.net again. This will happen once a week. The developers are working on fixing the problem so we can have translation updates more often again. [2] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/phame/post/view/121/translationwiki.net_security_incident/
*Changes later this week*
- When you create an abuse filter that prevents edits you can now write a specific error message for it. Before this all abuse filters that prevented edits had the same error message. [3] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T27086 - [image: Recurrent item] The new version https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.32/wmf.26 of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 16 October. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 17 October. It will be on all wikis from 18 October (calendar https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.32/Roadmap).
*Meetings*
- There will be no more meetings with the Editing team. This is because not enough Wikimedians were interested. To tell developers which bugs you think are the most important you can use Phabricator https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/ as normal. [4] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Editing_team/Weekly_triage_meetings - [image: Recurrent item] [image: Advanced item] You can join the technical advice meeting on IRC. During the meeting, volunteer developers can ask for advice. The meeting will be on 17 October at 15:00 (UTC) https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20181017T15. See how to join https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Technical_Advice_IRC_Meeting.

Good decision indeed.
Does specifying bugs that are important to developers via phabricator apply to all projects or just to projects handled by the Editing team?

Hello Sivaraam
The process to report a bug asks to report them directly on Phabricator: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug
Of course, if a feedback process for a given feature exists, that process can also be used.
