Join us Saturday July 29! Come to the New York Botanical Garden this Saturday, noon-3pm. No experience necessary, all are welcome.
Want to learn how to add your local park to Wikipedia? Want to learn how to add information about the environment to Wikipedia?
There will be tutorials, editing, snacks and two short talks, one on City Island Oyster Reef and one on the Hutchinson River Restoration Project.
Wikimedia NYC is honored to be co-hosting the Edit-a-thon event at the New York Botanical Garden. Titled “Environment of the Bronx - Editing Wikipedia for Beginners” we will be focusing on the theme of the environment of the Bronx and teaching beginners how to use Wikipedia. We will be working off of task lists prepared by the Environment of New York City Task Force. The event is in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, which is a historic building at the NYBG. This Saturday *free* 12p-3p. There will be a nature walk after the Wikipedia editing.
You can sign up on Wikipedia or at the NYBG website.
