Dear Wiki-Yorkers,
You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our monthly
WikiWednesday Salon. This month, as part of Wikimedia NYC's commitment to
the well-being of members, we will not meet in person. Instead, we will
hold our first ever ONLINE WikiWednesday meeting via Zoom.
Is there a project you'd like to share? A question you'd like answered? A
Wiki* skill you'd like to learn? Let us know by adding it to the agenda or
responding to this email.

Dear Wiki-Yorkers,
Wikimedia NYC is committed to keeping its volunteers and its communities as
safe as possible, and has made the difficult decision not to lead or
support in-person events through March due to concerns about the COVID-19
pandemic.
NYC now has several cases from community spread, and we believe cancelling
events that bring people together - especially high contact events such as
edit-a-thons - is the most responsible thing to do. Wikimedia NYC is
working with its partners to identify new dates and remote options when
possible, but there will also be cancellations. Updated event information
is available on our events page as it becomes available:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC
Please take care of yourselves and each other. We look forward to editing
with everyone again soon.
