Hi folks,
I thought I'd give you all a final notice on our Wikis Take Manhattan photo event, which is all set for this upcoming Saturday, October 4.
The weather is looking good, too: sunny and in the sixties.
I hope you all can make it, and bring a friend (or two)! Remember, non-Wikipedians are definitely welcome (no special skills required).
So bring your digital camera and your love of the city, get checked-in at 1 pm, and return for the uploading party at 6 pm to get your fabulous prizes.
Again, here are my three favorite links related to this event:
On Livable Streets Network: http://www.livablestreets.com/projects/wikis_take_manhattan/project-home
On Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Takes_Manhattan
Register your team here: https://freeculture.wufoo.com/forms/wikis-take-manhattan/
I'd also be glad to answer any questions you may still have.
Thanks

I can't make it to the event myself, but is there a place to put in requests? For example, the Pelham Bridge is having a big centennial party thrown for it later this month and I think the article could use a better picture. While someone's in that neighborhood, and actual photo of Split Rock would be nice too. There are walking directions to the rock at http://historicpelham.blogspot.com/2005/03/split-rock-pelham-landmark-for.ht...
