The truly epic-historical "Wiki-Gangs of New York" is a civic edit-a-thon, Wikipedia meet-up and instructional workshop that will be held this weekend on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at at the New York Public Library Main Branch.

All Wikipedia addicts, NYC history and culture buffs are very welcome to join in, as is anyone else with an interest (bring a friend!). No special wiki knowledge is required!

Address: Stephen A. Schwarzman Building (NYPL Main Branch), Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street. Time: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (drop-ins welcome at any time)

The goal will be to improve as many Wikipedia articles related to the neighborhoods and history of New York City as possible :)
