I'd like to let you all know about "Story Jam New York"(http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Story_Jam_New_York), an event for One Laptop Per Child per child project being held at UNICEF this weekend.
This is being organized by Mel Chua (User:Mchua), who I met at a recent NYU Free Culture meeting.
She's inviting SJ Klein (User:Sj), a very active Wikimedian and OLPCer, along with New York City Wikipedians/Wikimedians and anyone else interested to a Wikimedia BOF lunch on Saturday at noon (http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Story_Jam_New_York/Schedule).
I'll be at the lunch, where we can discuss the interaction between Wikipedia/Wikimedia and OLPC, and how Wikimedia content can be used in education in the developing world.
There are many other events also scheduled over the weekend.
If you plan on attending, you should register online here first: http://hackronym.com/jamreg/storyjamregistration.html
Long live the NYC Free Culture Alliance!
Thanks, Pharos
