Whether “Homeopathy lacks such a scientific approach” is a matter of your personal opinion
and others might not agree with the writer’s attempt to define what consists of science
and what consists of pseudoscience. Just words. To say “the common man is relatively
ignorant” also betrays arrogance on the part of the writer. I always consider myself a
common man, does this make me relatively ignorant? No, it makes you relatively ignorant.
Thanks very much.

I have posted an comment at
https://www.change.org/p/wikipedia-changing-wikipedia-s-article-on-homoeopa…
An update has been posted in a parallel thread. However, we need to know that we might be
aware of the Wikipedia issues but the 'common man' is relatively ignorant.
Irrespective of whether this man is taking sense, this petition has garnered 4000
signatures and evidently those supporters too are oblivious of how to edit Wikipedia. This
increases our responsibility.
Just bear that in mind.
Pseudoscience is not about whether it works or not, it is about a scientific approach to
gathering evidences which may or may not suggest that 'it works'. Homeopathy lacks
such a scientific approach. The supporters of this petition are therefore likely to be
unaware of the scientific approach. Like on Wikipedia, the onus of change lies on us.

The so-called petition is a nonsense. The so-called discussion "raised" around
this subject is pointless. Read the Wikipedia politics. Period.

I am not the petitioner. The petitioner is not present in is group and therefore cannot
read the discussions here. The petitioner possibly does not even know how to read or
participate in discussions related to pages or topics. It is futile to discuss among
ourselves. Would somebody like to reach out to the petitioner with the information
contained in this discussion thread?

Ha ha. The issue is not having a petition to force anyone to do anything, but presenting
our views on Wikipedia to counter the views of homeopathy’s critics. It is an open source
of debate. If you have an issue about the law of gravity you are welcome to compose an
article on it and post it to Wikipedia. I am sure there is someone who has posted an
article about Flat-earthers already, either for or against. All ideas are welcome – it is
an encyclopedia written for the people by the people, and hopefully written by people who
know what they are talking about on their particular subject. All views are welcome,
provided that they are cited from reliable and authentic published sources. So those who
want to challenge what they consider the wrong views of those who have posted their
persona (or official) views denigrating Homeopathy are now required to simply log in to
Wikipedia and present their refutation of those wrong views, based on irrefutable
citations from published sources. That’s all you need to do, so just get on with it
instead of mumbling amongst yourselves about how unfair it is and organising a petition to
an authority that does not exist.
