2019 program organized by CIS-A2K is going to be held from 11 October - 13
October 2019 at Pune.
Advance Wikisource Training is a residential training program that is
planned for the Indic Wikisource community (including English) members.
Last year we focused on Wikipedia and conducted the Wiki Advanced Training

Since this initiative — Wiki Loves Wild Flowers — doesn't exist in a
compartment but in the Wikiverse, WikiProject India & WikiProject
Plants on en:WP, & all editors are your natural allies in this.
I suggest that the aims of how to do this should be clearly
enunciated. May I propose some for your consideration? :
* Create articles on [[Flora of Punjab]] both in En:WP & Pa:WP.
* Create list articles on [[Wild flowers of Punjab]] both in En:WP & Pa:WP.
* Check out Wikimedia Commons for all the photos of each species
already available. Like this - [[commons:Abutilon_indicum]]
* Select which images are needed & provide those (including close ups
of anatomical features, photos in ecosystem, etc)
* Ensure that articles are created for both en & pa:WPs in case they
don't have any.

Making Wikimedia events a friendly, welcoming environment in which all
users can interact fruitfully, learn from each other and inspire each
other, is a goal we all share. The Wikimedia Foundation currently is

use the language you feel comfortable expressing yourself.

I am delighted to announce the "SVG Translation Campaign 2019 in India".
SVG Translation Campaign 2019 in India is a planned 38-day long campaign to
translate the English-labelled SVG files into Indian languages for use on
regional language Wikipedias. During Wikigraphists Bootcamp in September
2018

we had several Wikimedians from India who were trained on using Inkscape
and other tools, to create vector illustrations (SVG is a file format for
vector graphics, like JPG for raster graphics). This campaign is a
follow-up of that project and also with a goal to promote the idea of
vector graphics among the larger Indian community. Often, we see
English-labelled SVG files being used on Indian Wikipedias, this campaign
also helps us to have localised SVG files with labels in regional languages
to be used on Wikipedias.
