From: Carol Moore DC carolmooredc@verizon.net I'll go first day and reception but Friday probably too technical.
Great to hear it! On day 2, we need *both* technical folks, *and* folks familiar with Wikipedia's editorial processes and standards. There will be a technical component, but that's not all there is to it. I encourage you to put in an application; I can't guarantee anything until we see who applies of course, but I think your experience/knowledge would be a great boon to the event.
Should this be listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/DC
I'll get on it, looks like I missed a step! Thanks.
Should we encourage new people who would be sympatico to go?
Both events on Thursday, March 14: Absolutely! Friday event: probably not, unless they have some expertise in XML or gov't transparency or something related.
From: Kristin Anderson andersonster@gmail.com Too short a notice-- have scheduled out of town company that day.
Very sorry to hear that! I know it is very short notice. My apologies, we were not certain it was going to come together until very recently. I regret not exploring this more widely though to at least get the idea on your radar!
