• Saturday, October 12: Laurel History Edit-a-thon: Join us as we improve articles about
the history of Laurel, Maryland on Wikipedia. This event will include new editor training,
special tours of the Laurel Historical Society, and an edit-a-thon. Learn more:

• Sunday, October 13: WikiSalon: Wikimedia DC is hosting a special WikiSalon to discuss an
important topic: What can Wikipedia and the DC area do to help each other? We hope to hear

• Friday, October 25: Smithsonian Libraries Edit-a-Thon: Join us at the American Art
Museum/National Portrait Gallery Library for a new editor training workshop and
edit-a-thon. The edit-a-thon will offer a range of topics for editors to choose from,
focused around collections from the Smithsonian's archives, libraries, and museums.
