Hello!
My name is Kathrin and I am supporting Wikimedia's Public Policy Initiativehttp://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Public_Policy_Initiative . The Initiative aims to incorporate Wikipedia as a teaching tool, improve Wikipedia's coverage of U.S. public policy, expose students to feedback from a diverse and public community of editors, and educate students and professors about the inner workings of Wikipedia!
Professors at Harvard University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Indiana University, and Syracuse University have already joined our Initiative with courses planned for the fall semester. Now we are looking for Campus Ambassadorhttp://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Campus_Ambassadors. People (students, librarians, staff..) who can help us to implement the project!
Please contact me (kjansen@wikimedia.org) or Annie Lin (alin@wikimedia.org), the Campus Team Coordinator, for more information!
Thanks!
Kathrin
Is this related in any way to a recent effort by certain English Wikipedia editors to establish a formal relationship with the Smithsonian Institutes's National Museum of the American Indian in D.C.?

The Public Policy Initiative team has been in touch with AU, at least as far as the law school is concerned, I have no idea about main campus.

Coming in a bit late to this (sorry), but I'd be willing to work as a liaison with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County as well. The Director of the Honors College actually knows Jimbo personally, so she may be willing to work with her staff to start some honors courses along these lines.

Hey Hersfold,
Do you have Sage Ross's contact info? He's the online facilitator and would be a good point of contact for you to link up the director with the team.
