I would please like someone to edit Internet Storage/Concerns, referencing the series above, indicating that repeated server blackouts, cost, and the tremendous use of power to maintain these facilities presents a very serious threat to the Internet.
I have not yet learned how to write nor edit an article <sigh>

There's a comprehensive tutorial available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial which should walk you through the process.
Respectfully Luke,
This is an issue that is close to my heart. The potential overuse of the Cloud was exactly what I had hoped to discuss with list members when I attended Wikimania 2012. Unfortunately I am 79, an imperfect human being, a highly creative artist & writer (without a paying job), care-taking a severely depressed husband, not to mention a large family, many of whom have lost their jobs and/or about to lose their homes. I have studied many of the suggested articles in Wikipedia since I've returned to NJ, but they are a nightmare to negotiate. I love & have used WIKI for years, and would like to see it gets its act together. I embrace clarity, authenticity, respect and other such tools. Would like a chance to live long enough to complete several of my projects for ALEPPOS Foundation. I work on positive solutions, not whinging about what's not right with the world. Our combined funds are quite depleted ... <sigh>
Warmest regards,
Irene Lynch, CEO of ALEPPOS

I'm not sure exactly which articles you meant (either at Wikipedia or the NYT).
I made a guess and left a note on a talk page for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Internet_storage#NY_Times:_Data_Barns_in_...

Hello Irene,
If you will type up a few sentences (or paragraphs) and e-mail them to us of what you want to add, one of us can figure out how to edit the article for you and work some of your information into it.
This is a collaborative effort, and nobody says everyone has to do every piece of it by themselves ...
Another way to do this would be to go to the article Talk Page, then type in your suggestions for the information that needs to be added. Then, the editors who are familiar with the topic or watching the article can use your input to develop the article.
Cheers,
Kristin
Thanks Kristin!
You have always been a good resource for me - I'm putting your suggestion of the 'article Talk Page' on tomorrow's ToDo - we just got back from a quiet, but relaxing birthday party for our great- granddaughter out at a great jersey bbq spot.
Sweet dreams,
Irene

Hi all,
I just noticed that the staff of the Architect of the Capitol have been releasing a selection of images under a US Government Works license on Flickr. There are some real treasures in there--worth a look, especially the U.S. Capitol Grounds set. From what I can see, most have not been put on Commons yet.

Great find Sara - I have put in a request to have the magical bot that sucks things off Flickr to start doing it's thing :)
