This is a reminder that the Wikimania Committee
of Wikimedia DC will
be holding its meeting on Sunday, October 23 at 2 PM. The meeting will
take place at Caribou Coffee in Bethesda. For those who cannot attend
in person, we will also be monitoring the IRC channel #wikimania-2012
on Freenode. For more information, see
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/DC_Wikimania_planning>.
What's the status of the venue? Has a place been locked down yet?
I have budget estimates for American University and the Walter E.
Washington Convention Center. We should decide on Sunday who we are
going with.
I forget if you've gone to SF yet or if you're yet to go--have you
gotten any input from SF on the proposals (or on getting an event
planner)?
