Dear Boston Wikimedians,
We're hosting two editathons and a workshop at MIT!
This Friday (22nd) we will have a workshop on teaching with Wikipedia, from 1-2pm. This is meant for professors and other instructors who want to use Wikipedia in their classes. This will be followed up from 2-5p by an introduction to how to edit and an edit-a-thon on general topics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Boston/IntroToEditingWikipedi...
Next Friday (27th) from 1-5p we'll have another introduction to editing workshop and an edit-a-thon themed around black history, especially black history in STEM fields. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Boston/WritingBlackHistory
Both workshops will be on campus. All are welcome! Registration links and more info is on the pages above.
Let me know if you have any questions. Phoebe
Sorry, the second event is on Friday the *29th*, not the 27th.
Also, though both events will have introductory workshops, I want to emphasize both new and experienced editors are welcome. And librarians will be on hand to help use MIT library and archive resources for editing.
